What You Will Learn & Experience In This Course

Who This Course Is For ?

  • Everyone ages 12 and up - We have options for both kids & adults to attend!

  • Artists who want to learn to create 3D artwork.

  • Everyone from beginners to more experienced artists. Each person will be working on their own creation.

  • You’ll be met in this course exactly where you are so you’ll learn much from these lessons.

Dates & Times

  • Option 1: Monday Mornings from 10 am to 12 noon - October 5, 12, 19, 26; November 2, 9, 16.

  • Option 2: Wednesday Afternoons from 4 pm to 6 pm - October 7, 14, 21, 28; November 4, 11, 18.

  • Option 3: Saturday Afternoons from 1 pm to 3 pm - October 3, 10, 17, 24; November 7, 14, 21.

Lesson 1: Polymer Clay Characters

You will use polymer clay to create three dimensional characters.

You will learn to use basic three dimensional shapes to construct the three dimensional forms needed to make the sculptural characters.

Lesson 2: Texture Ceramic Plaque

You will learn about ceramic clay and various types of handbuilt ceramic clay construction techniques in order to create a textured ceramic plaque.

Lesson 3: Ceramic Bowl

You will use pinch and coil techniques to create a ceramic bowl.

Lesson 4: Origami

We’ll unravel the mystery of the ancient art of Origami.

A step-by-step approach to learning how to fold paper aligned with the rules used by Origami artists will lead to success.

Lesson 5: Wire Sculpture

We will learn the techniques of wire sculpture to design a three dimensional sculpture with the feeling of a pencil drawing.

Lesson 6: Mobile Sculpture

We will continue our exploration of wire art construction to create a sculpture that moves.

Lesson 7: Make a Sculpture of Your Choice

You will reflect on the sculptural work we have done to create a sculpture of your choosing.
